Wedding:Pre-Wedding Logistics
Background
We actually took a class together in our first semester in graduate school (EE 228A, Fall 1995), but didn't actually meet until our second class together (CS 268, in Spring 1998). During a particularly slow class session, Mark offered Chen-Nee a piece of candy, which was followed by conversation, dinner at a local Malaysian restaurant, a trip to England, ... and the rest, as they, is history...Engagement
We got engaged on May 22, 2002, in Pt. Lobos (near Monterey), during a brief vacation up the California coast, on a beautiful sunny day. Mark was still incredibly nervous, and Chen-Nee was still surprised, even though we had already been together for 3 years, 10 months, and had bought our rings together 5 months before :)

The Invitation
We invite you to share a special moment with us as we begin our new life together. Our wedding ceremony and reception will be held on Monday, October 7, 2002, at the Brazilian Room in Tilden Park, Berkeley. Due to schedule constraints, our wedding will be on a weekday, but we hope that you will still be able to join us.The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., and will be followed by a buffet lunch reception. We're looking forward to taking pictures and catching up with everyone! (The room is ours until 4 p.m...) Directions are available here.
